Professional Clinical Counselor

Life can get overwhelming even for children and teens.  When this happens they can act out and seem angry, which is frustrating for them as well as their parents.  Whether dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, anger or other emotional issues I will provide a supportive, yet challenging environment for you/your child to process thoughts and feelings.  I will actively engage with you/your child and not simply ask “How do you feel about that?”  I believe it’s important to connect with my clients to form a strong therapeutic relationship.  I do this by talking with them at their level about the things that matter to them.  This is an essential part of the process especially with children and teens so when the time comes to challenge them, they are ready to accept what I have to say.  While most of my 8 years experience is with children, teens and their families, I enjoy working with people of any age.  When working with adults, as with my younger clients, I believe it is imperative to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment while developing a relationship which allows for challenging when needed.
